Say Goodbye To Tooth Loss Once And For All

What are dental implants?
Dental implants consist of two parts: a small metal screw, or implant and an artificial crown.
How does the implant stay in place?
The implant looks like a tiny metal screw, which we surgically implant into your jawbone. Over time, a process known as osseointegration occurs. This means that as months go by, the surrounding tissue and bones will grow around and fuse with the metal implant. This makes the implant a permanent structure in your mouth, taking on the same qualities as a natural tooth’s root.
What should I expect from the procedure?
The procedure will take time. The first step is to surgically place the implant into the jawbone. Once this is complete, we will give your mouth time to heal and fuse with the metal screw. This often takes months and your mouth must fully heal before we can finish the second part of this procedure.
During this time, we will also custom-fabricate a dental crown that will look just like the rest of your teeth. Once the healing process is complete, we will place the crown securely on top of the implant.
What is the success rate for dental implants?
Dental implants offer up a 98 percent success rate, which makes them an attractive option for replacing one or several missing teeth.
What are the benefits of dental implants?
One of the most serious complications of tooth loss is the loss of bone density. This means that over time your jawbone will shorten and your face may take on a sunken appearance. This often makes patients appear older than they are. However, dental implants will not only create volume in your face to give you a more youthful appearance but will also promote bone growth (and is the only dental procedure that can do this!).
Also, because the implant is embedded into the jawbone you can expect a much stronger and long-lasting tooth replacement than with other options. With the proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime.
